Welcome to the London Dyslexia Centre, a leading dyslexia assessment hub where we help children and young adults reach their potential. An assessment can make a real difference to a student’s self-confidence, providing them with a better understanding of themselves. Additionally, it will give those around them, such as family, friends and educators, a greater appreciation of their needs. A diagnosis of dyslexia can inform practical support and provision, thus paving the way for a more positive learning and working experience.
A full diagnostic assessment is required in order to diagnose dyslexia. The assessment will be carried out by a highly experienced and qualified assessor who holds a current Assessment Practicing Certificate (APC) and full Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks. London Dyslexia Centre provides dyslexia assessments for children and young adults from age 8 up to 24 as well as assessments for Exam Access Arrangements. We also work in association with a number of trusted professionals in various specialities such as ADHD and ASD whom we may refer to if appropriate.

Testimonials
Sarah assessed my son for dyslexia and gave us a really comprehensive report, which has proved very useful with school. She explained his difficulties in a really clear fashion that helped us understand and gave us a way forward.
Peter said, “she was easy to talk to, and now I know I’m dyslexic it helps to explain why some stuff is hard for me”.

I am pleased to recommend Sarah as an outstanding dyslexia assessor. She recently assessed my son, who has both dyslexia and ADHD, and her professionalism and approach were exceptional.
Sarah demonstrated immense patience, providing my son with the time and support he needed throughout the assessment. She was thorough in her evaluation, taking care to ensure he was comfortable and fully understood each task. Her ability to work with children who face additional challenges, such as ADHD, was especially noteworthy. She produced an excellent report and explained it all to us. I highly recommend Sarah to anyone seeking a compassionate, patient, and professional assessor for dyslexia.

We had an excellent experience with Sarah. She was very accommodating and was able to see us soon after we requested a consultation. She was kind and patient with my daughter and would highly recommend her to others.

Sarah recently assessed our 14-year-old daughter. She led us through the assessment process clearly and patiently and was a pleasure to work with. She put our daughter at ease on the day and provided a comprehensive report soon after. The report was clearly written and easy to understand. We were also offered a follow up meeting which was very helpful in terms of having questions answered and discussing recommendations for the future. Would highly recommend!

Sarah assessed our 8-year-old son. He finds it difficult to sit still and concentrate so we were worried that he would not cope with the assessment. Sarah took this in her stride and was so friendly and kind. She provided several rest breaks and kept the mood light and informal. In the end he really enjoyed the morning. We would highly recommend her.
