Welcome to the London Dyslexia Centre, a leading dyslexia assessment hub where we help children and young adults reach their potential. An assessment can make a real difference to a student’s self-confidence, providing them with a better understanding of themselves. Additionally, it will give those around them, such as family, friends and educators, a greater appreciation of their needs. A diagnosis of dyslexia can inform practical support and provision, thus paving the way for a more positive learning and working experience.
A full diagnostic assessment is required in order to diagnose dyslexia. The assessment will be carried out by a highly experienced and qualified assessor who holds a current Assessment Practicing Certificate (APC) and full Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks. London Dyslexia Centre provides dyslexia assessments for children and young adults from age 8 up to 24 as well as assessments for Exam Access Arrangements. We also work in association with a number of trusted professionals in various specialities such as ADHD and ASD whom we may refer to if appropriate.

Excellent experience at the London Dyslexia Centre, with Sarah and Batsheva, both of whom are absolutely lovely to deal with as well as being highly professional and efficient. LDC was recommended to me by my daughter's Speech and Language Therapist so I was already confident before we started the process. But they were brilliant from the start: Firstly, I could talk to an EP initially to explain our concerns (whereas other services only offered a non-clinical customer agent). Secondly, they bent over backwards to book my daughter in for an assessment as we were getting more and more evidence that there was an underlying issue. Thirdly, the assessment process was very smooth and well organised - and my daughter liked Sarah :-). A few forms to fill in were shared immediately upon booking, and we were politely nudged to provide anything that was missing. Finally, Sarah completed the paperwork for us in double quick time as we really needed this to help put in place long-overdue support for my daughter. Highly recommended.Posted on Hadeel Al-ShamariTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I highly recommend this centre; the staff are incredibly friendly, professional, and accommodating (especially with paperwork and providing helpful pre-appointment calls). I’d like to express my deepest thanks and gratitude to Sarah for her exceptional support, services, and advice—what could’ve been an anxious experience was such a positive one. Once again, thank you!Posted on Ana Ribeiro GomesTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I highly recommend the London Dyslexia Centre. Sarah is very professional, dedicated and responded promptly to all my questions. My daughter prefers maths to English, but during the assessment she was very engaged, focused, and comfortable. Sarah was very kind with her—calm, patient, and positive throughout. The report was delivered just one week after the assessment, which is fantastic. It is well-structured, informative, and detailed, with numerous recommendations for both the school and parents that will be extremely helpful. Thanks to this assessment, we now feel much more confident in understanding and supporting our daughter’s learning needs. Thank you very much, Sarah and team, for your excellent work.Posted on Sanel HomerTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. After years of the school dismissing concerns for my son's learning, we now have confirmation he has dyslexia. The assessor was so helpful in every step of the process. My son was very anxious about the assessment but the assessor was so reassuring, patient and understanding. The report received was so comprehensive and full of helpful suggestions as to how we can support our son at school and home. I am so grateful to this service. I am pleased to recommend Sarah as an outstanding dyslexia assessor. She recently assessed my son, who has both dyslexia and ADHD, and her professionalism and approach were exceptional.
Sarah demonstrated immense patience, providing my son with the time and support he needed throughout the assessment. She was thorough in her evaluation, taking care to ensure he was comfortable and fully understood each task. Her ability to work with children who face additional challenges, such as ADHD, was especially noteworthy. She produced an excellent report and explained it all to us. I highly recommend Sarah to anyone seeking a compassionate, patient, and professional assessor for dyslexia.

Sarah recently assessed our 14-year-old daughter. She led us through the assessment process clearly and patiently and was a pleasure to work with. She put our daughter at ease on the day and provided a comprehensive report soon after. The report was clearly written and easy to understand. We were also offered a follow up meeting which was very helpful in terms of having questions answered and discussing recommendations for the future. Would highly recommend!

Sarah assessed our 8-year-old son. He finds it difficult to sit still and concentrate so we were worried that he would not cope with the assessment. Sarah took this in her stride and was so friendly and kind. She provided several rest breaks and kept the mood light and informal. In the end he really enjoyed the morning. We would highly recommend her.
